Nestled amidst grand and historic architecture, The Old Theatre Royal is a unique wedding venue in Bath.
The Old Theatre Royal was originally built in 1750 and is located right in the heart of Bath. Hence it is close to all major hotels and transport links. The building retains many of its original features and character. There are also lots of great spots for taking wedding photographs throughout the building.
It also offers great flexibility. Spaces range from smaller more intimate rooms to the magnificent Masonic Hall.
The Masonic Hall is a perfect space for a formal wedding breakfast. Furthermore, the adjacent Ante-Room is available for use. This can be for a pre-dining reception or post-dining dancing, including space for a DJ. There is also a bar in the Ante-Room.
Alternatively, Guests can also enjoy a more relaxed affair in the Hall. The main area can contain a dance floor and part tabled seating, whilst the entertainment set up on stage. Guests can also enjoy a quieter space in the adjacent Ante-Room. We have regular singers, bands and DJs performing here that we can put you in touch with for your event.
For a smaller more intimate wedding reception, The Regency Dining Room is more suitable. The layout is flexible to each couple’s needs. The Regency Dining Room has it’s own bar serving it’s guests.
Our resident on-site caterers will provide freshly-prepared food from our own kitchens. They will tailor the food to each couple’s specific requests. They can create menus from simple finger-buffets to full-service dinners.
